OFFICIAL BLOG OF THE CORVUS CIRCLE

Beyond the mists & through the trees,

Beneath the pale moonlight…

In the shadow of an ancient oak,

There occurred a curious sight…

Sydney | Author | What the Cat Told the Raven | Diary of a Witch 2B

A collection of love, musing & occasional wisdom from my soul’s Book of Shadows.

Artist, writer, yogi, and long-practicing witch, Sydney (Sates) channeled over two decades of experience into The Corvus Circle, a deep call to reclaim one’s sovereignty & connection with Mother Earth, and its accompanying blog, What the Cat Told the Raven, a loving collection of musing & unspoken words. She designed the Cycles & Phases journal system as a self-led journey for those seeking a deeper relationship with their own being. When she isn’t indulging her many curiosities, she can be found in her art studio, on her yoga mat, or buried in a book (or two), always with coffee in hand. She lives with her tribe of purr babies & the love of her life.

Fairy, William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream Midsummer exists as its own realm within my mind. Golden light, glittering dew drops, dancing fireflies, lusciously soft grass beneath bare, gentle feet.

Stars (A Short Story)

Never be afraid to go back; to where your magick flowed, when your imagination ran wild, and you let yourself run with it. Stars.   Gods, there were so many stars.  Billions, twinkling against the inky black like glitter cast across midnight silk.  I breathed deep, the air in the circle

MIRRORS

In the garden of memory, in the palace of dreams…that is where you and I shall meet. – The Mad Hatter, Alice Through the Looking Glass I have believed, since I was very small, that mirrors contain whole worlds within their depths. Their magic not in showing us what others

COME AWAY

Sometimes I hate the world. Sometimes the bitterness and the hatred become too much, suffocating my breath, tightening my chest and throat. The shell I build around myself is meant to protect me, to keep away all the bad of the world so that I can find some desperate thread
